Advent Calendar 2010

Joe and I made the advent calendar while Ethan was at school.  I found these printable numbers here via Missy's post here.  We used an old muffin pan, Joe filled each muffin spot with 2 Hershey's kisses (one for each boy) and a sprinkling of assorted candy's we picked out while at the grocery store yesterday.  Then he helped glue the  cardstock numbers to the pan, and make sure it was extra secure by glitter gluing around each "door" (a little on the messy side, so we decided the entire bottom row needed to be "iced".  Ethan is excited, he can't wait for the 12th!

Next year we hope to plan ahead a little bit better and make some Christmas themed mini lego sets, a DIY lego advent calendar of sorts.
