Pin cushion for secret pal swap

This started out as a hand embroidered flower pin cushion...  it was a nightmare...  threads breaking, fabric shredding... sighhhhhh.  So I thought I'd try putting some buds from a flowered ribbon on it... then more and more until the original pin cushion was hidden from view.  I love it.  I am glad DH talked me into throwing my first attempt at a pincushion for this swap away as it was just not right (I had to delete the post... really... not right) so when this started going sideways I got really frustrated... in the end I think it worked out perfectly!
